Our trajectory and perspectives for the future…

The CCB – Ceramic Center of Brazil, created in 1993, is a private, non-profit entity, bringing together associated companies in the Brazilian ceramic sector, whose objectives are to develop and implement technical standards and certify the quality of ceramic products and systems management (ISO 9000 and ISO 14000), as well as acting as a technological entity in the construction sector.

As a Conformity Assessment Body (OAC) accredited by the General Accreditation Coordination of Inmetro, it actively works with manufacturers of Ceramics for Cladding, Tiles and Ceramic Blocks, and Concrete Tiles.

The CCB has a Center for Technological Innovation in Ceramics in Santa Gertrudes-SP, CITEC/CCB, of which LabCCB is part, which has laboratory infrastructure accredited by the General Accreditation Coordination of Inmetro, to carry out tests for certification. and product and process quality control. CITEC/CCB, as a technological entity, has been working on the research and development of ceramic products, mainly at the university-company interface and providing technical/technological advisory services, human resources training and technical assistance to ceramic industries, engineering and architecture, construction companies and resellers of construction materials. It also has a Product and Design Innovation Center.

In total, we have a highly qualified team, with more than 40 employees, made up of post-doctors, doctors, masters, specialists and technicians, who have allowed CCB to effectively contribute to the growth and strengthening of the Brazilian Ceramic Sector.

New times, new challenges.

New times, new challenges.

Since September 2015, CCB has moved to its own headquarters in Santa Gertrudes. With a total investment of approximately 4 million Reais, and with a built area of 1490 m2, in addition to the system and product certification area and the most complete testing laboratory for ceramic tiles for coating, the CCB headquarters also has Building Performance Laboratories for floors, walls and roofs, Laboratory for tiles and ceramic blocks, Laboratory for tiles and concrete blocks and Laboratory for adhesive and grouting mortars.

Currently, CCB also acts as EGT (Technical Management Entity) of the Sectoral Quality Programs (PSQ) for Ceramic Slabs and Prefabricated Slabs. Furthermore, it belongs to the Sibratec Network, which aims to support the technological development of Brazilian companies, as well as improving the quality of products placed on the domestic and foreign markets, through the Housing Building Performance Network.
