1. Request

The Company expresses its interest in evaluating the conformity of products by sending a completed request form to the CCB – Certification.
CCB – Certification carries out an internal analysis of the request sent by the company and determines the feasibility of the evaluation, issuing a quote.
The company analyzes the budget and chooses whether or not to continue the process.
As the process continues, a contract between the company and CCB – Certification is signed.
At this stage, providing all requested information about the company, manufacturing processes, catalogues, descriptive documents and applicable technical standards are essential.

Model 4: follow steps 3 to 9
Model 5: follow steps 2 to 9

2. Audit process

The audit plan, objectives, scope and criteria are defined as well as the selection of the audit team and determination of the audit time.
The Concession Audit is carried out at the manufacturing unit, after signing the contract and on a date agreed between the client and CCB – Certification.
In the concession audit, a Check List will be used that contains the items to be evaluated in accordance with current standards and ordinances.
Possible non-conformities identified during the audit must have corrective actions proposed and evidence of the implementation of these actions within pre-established deadlines.

3. Sampling

At the concession stage, tests must be carried out in accordance with the product standard until an approved sample is obtained. These samplings are carried out in commerce and the number of batches sampled follows what is established in the CCB – Certification conformity assessment regulations and internal procedures. Possible non-conformities identified during the audit must have corrective actions proposed and evidence of the implementation of these actions within pre-established deadlines.

4. Laboratory Tests

The tests are carried out by laboratories accredited by the General Accreditation Coordination of Inmetro and/or qualified by the CCB – Certification.
The laboratory carries out the tests defined by the CCB – Certification and conformity assessment regulations, as provided for in the reference standards.

5. Concession

After implementing the proposed actions and analyzing the process, the CCB Superintendent – Certification decides* on granting the certificate.
After final approval, a product conformity certificate will be issued, valid for 03 (three) years, and a concession letter.
*If the decision is made not to grant the CCB – Certification informs the client of the reasons for the decision.

6. Maintenance

During the validity of the certificate, CCB – Certification will carry out monitoring through maintenance audits and laboratory tests within the deadlines established in the conformity assessment regulations and internal procedures of CCB – Certification.
Possible non-conformities identified must have corrective actions proposed and evidence of implementation within pre-established deadlines.

7. Renewal

Renewal will take place as long as the customer does not express interest in discontinuing the product conformity assessment process.
Recertification auditing and sampling are planned and performed to assess continued compliance with process requirements.

8. Scope expansion

When the client requests a scope expansion, CCB – Certification performs a critical analysis of the request and determines any audit and testing activities necessary to decide whether or not the expansion can be granted.

The suspension of the process occurs in situations where, for example: there are non-conformities without evidence of treatment or without responses within the deadlines established by the CCB – Certification; improper use of the certificate and logos; non-compliance with contract clauses; or voluntary request from the customer.
During suspension, the customer’s certification will remain temporarily invalid.
The CCB – Certification will restore the suspended certification when the reason that led to the suspension has been resolved, by presenting evidence of implementation of the corrections and corrective actions that motivated the suspension (if applicable), carrying out an audit, tests, when necessary, and analysis of documentation and decision.
The maximum suspension period is six months. Failure to resolve the problems that caused the suspension within the period defined by the CCB – Certification results in the cancellation or reduction of the scope of the conformity assessment.
