The CCB - Ceramic Center of Brazil, created in 1993, is a private, non-profit entity, bringing together associated companies of the Brazilian ceramic sector, which aims to develop and implement technical standards and certify the quality of ceramic products and systems. (ISO 9000 and ISO 14000), as well as acting as a technological entity in the civil construction sector.
As a Conformity Assessment Body (ACO) accredited by Inmetro's General Coordination for Accreditation, it actively works with manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles, Ceramic Blocks and Concrete Tiles.
CCB has in Santa Gertrudes-SP, a Center for Technological Innovation in Ceramics, CITEC / CCB, which is part of LabCCB, which has the laboratory infrastructure accredited by Inmetro's General Accreditation Coordination, to perform tests for certification and product and process quality control. CITEC / CCB, as a technological entity, has been acting in the research and development of ceramic products, mainly at the university - company interface and providing technical / technological advisory services, human resources training and technical assistance to the ceramic tile industries, law firms, engineering and architecture, builders and resellers of building materials. It also has a Product and Design Innovation Center.
In all, we have a highly qualified team, with more than 40 employees, made up of post-doctors, doctors, masters, specialists and technicians, who have been allowing CCB to contribute effectively to the growth and strengthening of the Brazilian Ceramic Sector.
Since September 2015, CCB has moved to its own headquarters in Santa Gertrudes. With a total investment of approximately R $ 4 million and a built area of 1490 m2, in addition to the systems and product certification area and the most complete ceramic tile testing laboratory, CCB's headquarters also has the following facilities: Building Performance Labs on floors, walls and roofs, Tiles and ceramic blocks laboratory, Tiles and concrete blocks laboratory and Adhesive mortar and grouting laboratory.
Currently the CCB also acts as a Technical Managing Entity of the Sectorial Quality Programs (PSQ) of Ceramic Tiles and Prefabricated Slabs. It also belongs to the Sibratec Network, which aims to support the technological development of Brazilian companies, as well as to improve the quality of products placed in domestic and foreign markets, through the Performance Network in Housing Buildings.
